Narrated by Sa'ad bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "None of you should long for death, for if he is a good man, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil-doer, he may stop the evil deeds and repent." (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 90, No. 341)

وما من كاتب إلا سيبـلى
ويبقى الدهر ما كتبت يداه

فلا تكتب بخطك غير شيء
يسرك في القيامة أن تـراه

"And there is no writer except that he shall pass away
But what his hands have written will stay forever
So do not let yourself write down anything
Except that which shall please you on the Day of Judgement."
