True Thankfulness

Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullah] comments on showing thanks by mentioning that to attain TRUE thankfulness TO Allah, there are 5 affairs that a person must have:

1.That a person surrenders and submits to ALLAH

2.That the person loves the one who has blessed him. i.e ALLAH

3.That a person recognises the blessings of ALLAH upon him

4.That a person praises ALLAH for blessing him with this bounty

5.That a person does NOT use that blessing to do anything that displeases ALLAH

So as our Great Scholar Ibnul Qayyim Al Jawziyyah [rahimahullah] mentioned these are the conditions for true thankfulness towards Al-Maalik.

‎7 qualities Allah does not like, mentioned in the Qur'an :
1. Extravagance “But waste not byexcess: for Allah loves not the wasters” [Surah Al An’am 6:141]
2. Pride “Verily He loves not the arrogant(proud)­ ­ ­.”
[Surah An Nahl 16:23]
3. Arrogant boaster “For Allah loves not any arrogant boaster.[Surah Luqman 31:18]
4. Transgression “For Allah loves not transgressors.”­ ­ ­­
[Al Ma’idah 5:87]
5. Evil, Wrongdoing “But Allah loves not those who do wrong”.
[Surah Al Imran 3:57]
6. Treachery “For Allah loves not the treacherous.”
[Surah Al Anfal 8:58]
7. Mischief-makers­ ­ ­ “And Allah loves not those who do mischief.”
[Surah Al Ma’idah 5:64]
